The Wind in the Willows musical confirms run at London's Palladium

Following its highly praised pre-West End run, major new musical The Wind in the Willows is set to return to the West End in London's Palladium Theatre. Brought to life by
Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes and Olivier Award-winning songwriting team George Stiles and Anthony Drewe the much anticipated musical promises to bring "an explosion of anarchy, humour and heart to the world-famous London Palladium." Director Jamie Hendry has also confirmed that he will continue his pledge to ensure that local readers have access to the story by sending free copies of Kenneth Grahame's classic novel to every school and library in London

The show is slated to begin previewing 17 June 2017, opening 29 June and currently scheduled to run through 9 September 2017. While complete casting for the West End run is forthcoming, commedian, actor and presenter Rufus Hound is confirmed to reprise his role as Toad for the West End run. The current cast includes David Birrell as Badger, Fra Fee as Mole, Thomas Howes as Ratty, Neil McDermott as Chief Weasel and Sophia Nomvete as Mrs Otter. Casting for the West End run is yet to be confirmed, but will be updated as new information becomes available. This promises to be the family friendly ticket of the Spring!
